On the CBF press conference Monday afternoon, (in which Parreira released the names of the players to play against Croatia) the greatest news was the return of his assistant Zagallo.
After being hospitalized for a few months for a surgery that removed part of his digestive system Zagallo was back in Parreira’s side. The ex-player, ex-coach and only man to ever be a five time World Cup champion, won’t go with Brazil to Croatia, however he confirms his presence against Chile in the WCQ game in September 4th. Though he avoided speaking too much, he did have a few points to comment, first in the conference and later with a Globo news reporter:
Selecao:
“The easiest job in the world is to call players for the national squad; the hardest is to cut them for the World Cup.”
Robinho:
“He only has one weakness, he only kicks with three toes. It’s time he starts kicking with the side of his feet.”
